Technique: All Sides Gathering (Machine)

Materials: Light weight cotton

Spacing/Size: 5" diameter circle

Gathering Methods: Machine stay stitch; Slit edges; Hand running stitch pulled to create gathers; Thought that edges may turn under on their own (did not)

Anchoring methods: After pulling the threads as tightly as possible the gathers stay well on their own; If used beyond sampling, would need to knot off or finish more neatly
